The SmallWood 2008 and Bioenergy & Wood Products joint conference will be held May 13-15, 2008 in Madison, Wisconsin. The theme of this year's conference is "Cutting Edge Technologies to Optimize Utilization of Smallwood and Woody Biomass." Recognizing that enormous quantities of woody biomass are being generated from thinning operations, land clearing, and hurricane disasters, the conference will focus on the need to create new solutions for using low-value and waste wood.
