The Planting Seeds
for the Future conference will be held November 12-13, 2008 at the
University of Memphis sponsored by the Memphis Bioworks Foundation and the
Tennessee Department of Agriculture. The conference will focus on the
opportunities surrounding opportunities that higher petroleum costs, increased
biofuel production, growing interest in green products, and advances in
technology have created a growing market for "alternative, non-food, health and
industrial applications." Conference sessions will focus on new crops projects
