SAFER Membership

Membership in SAFER is open to Southern renewable energy stakeholders.

Associate Membership

Members of SAFER will have the unique opportunity to join a regional effort focused on the South being a leader in renewable energy. Membership benefits include:

• Ability to affect policy recommendations in renewable energy 
• Access to a regional network of Southern leaders representing research and development, private sector, government, and non-profits
• Access to the members-only website for up-to-date information on legislation and funding opportunities
• E-news updates on issues related to research, commercialization, policy, education, and funding opportunities
• Free copies of all SAFER publications
• Recognition of membership on the SAFER website
• Discounts on registration fees for conferences and workshops

In addition, all Non-profit and Corporate members will receive associate member status of Southern Growth Policies Board. Southern Growth associate members receive:

• Access and networking with private-sector leaders, governors and legislators
• Copies of all Southern Growth publications including the annual Report on the Future of the South
• Reduced rates at all Southern Growth conferences and events
• Recognition of associate membership in major publications, on the Southern Growth website and at major conferences
• Opportunities to serve on project advisory committees
• Opportunities to participate in regional and state focus group
• Link on Southern Growth Policies Board's website as an associate member

Annual dues:
Students – $25
Individual – $100
Non-profit –  $250
Corporate – $500

Memberships submitted by institutions will identify one point of contact, but benefits may apply to multiple people.

Underwriting Membership

Underwriting members receive all the benefits of associate members plus the following:

• Recognition in all formal publications
• Invitations to attend all Steering Committee meetings
• Recognition on SAFER website with logo as underwriting member
• Special recognition at all SAFER events

Annual dues:
Non-profit - $1,000
Corporate - $2,500

SAFER Partners

Partners receive all the benefits of associate & underwriting members in addition to having the opportunity to appoint one person to Southern Growth’s Southern Technology Council or one of the other three advisory councils.

Annual dues:
Non-profit - $5,000
Corporate - $10,000
