25x'25 Action Plan: Charting America's Energy Future

In February 2007, the national 25x'25 alliance released an action plan to support the goal of America's farms, ranches and forests to provide 25 percent of the total energy consumed by 2025. The plan call for supportive policies in the areas of increasing production of renewable energy; delivering renewable energy to markets; expanding renewable energy markets; improving energy efficiency and productivity; and strengthening conservation of natural resources and the environment. The report, Charting America's Future, specifies 35 policy actions to reach the 25x'25 goal including investing 5 percent of what America spent on imported oil in 2006 for renewable energy programs.
